Welcome to Amazon World.

It is now over a decade since my passion for the natural world led me to the heart of the Amazon Basin.

Once there, I was shocked by the effects of man's destruction on the rare and beautiful creatures that thrived in this unique habitat.

I returned to England determined to not only increase public awareness of the rainforests and their plight, but to display and nurture their native flora and fauna alongside the natural wonders of my own country.

Thus, Amazon World was born, and has grown from a labour of love into a flourishing education and conservation centre. We are now proud members of the British & European Zoo Federations, participating in international breeding schemes to safeguard the future of the worlds rarest creatures.

At Amazon World we house around 200 species of mammal, bird, reptile, insect, amphibian and fish. We hope to show our visitors what is happening to the world's magnificent rainforest flora and fauna. As well as highlighting the difficulties faced in the wild we also hope to show the good work that is being done by organisations like ourselves across the world.

I hope that Amazon World will provide you with your own journey of discovery.
